Installation guide

Prepare WordPress and install the plugin.

This guide applies to the DaamDesk v0.30.0 WordPress plugin package.

Requirements

  1. WordPress 6.2 or later.
  2. PHP 7.4 or later.
  3. A working WordPress database and sufficient hosting resources for your site.
  4. HTTPS is strongly recommended, especially for customer accounts, payment gateways, and software activation.
  5. Administrator access to WordPress to install the plugin.

Install DaamDesk

  1. Sign in to your WordPress administration dashboard.
  2. Open Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Select the authorised DaamDesk v0.30.0 ZIP package.
  4. Choose Install Now and wait for WordPress to complete the upload and installation.
  5. Choose Activate Plugin.
  6. Confirm the DaamDesk menu appears in the WordPress admin sidebar.
  7. Open DaamDesk and review the dashboard and submenu pages.

Before updating an existing installation

  1. Back up both the WordPress files and database.
  2. Read the release notes for the version you are installing.
  3. Update during a suitable maintenance window if the site is business-critical.
  4. After updating, verify customers, products, quotations, orders, invoices, payments, portal access, and any enabled integrations.

If installation fails

Record the exact WordPress error, DaamDesk version, WordPress version, and PHP version. Check the hosting PHP error log. Do not repeatedly retry a failed update without a backup, and never share passwords, API keys, merchant secrets, or full licence keys in a public support request.
