ChauffeurDesk must be activated with a valid license before the full plugin administration and booking workflow can be used. Keep your license details available when setting up a new website.
Activate the plugin
- In the WordPress dashboard, open Chauffeur Bookings → License & Updates.
- Locate the License key field.
- Paste the license key supplied with your ChauffeurDesk purchase.
- Select Activate License.
- Wait for the confirmation notice and verify that the displayed status is Active.
Validate or deactivate
Use Validate License to request a fresh status check. If you are moving the plugin to another website, use Deactivate Website on the current installation before activating the license on the replacement website. Keep the license key private and do not include it in screenshots or support messages.
Plugin updates
When an update is available and the license is active, use the WordPress Plugins screen to install the update. Back up your WordPress files and database before upgrading. A recently validated active license has a limited offline grace period if the licensing service cannot be reached.
Keep your setup secure
Use HTTPS, restrict access to administrator and driver pages, keep payment and Maps credentials private, and test configuration changes before using them with live customers.
